BioPopEvol goes to Congress

BioPopEvol will attend the ESEB conference in Barcelona, 17-22 August 2025

The Congress of the European Society for Evolutionary Biology (ESEB) will be held in Barcelona, 17-22 August 2025. Three people from BioPopEvol (not to mention a "guest") will attend.

The ESEB conference is the place to be to learn about the most recent discoveries in Evolution, with a large number of super-interesting symposia and an all-star team of keynote speakers.

Louise Deral-Vella, Caroline Scotti-Saintagne, and Ivan Scotti will attend the conference. Louise (together with Caroline) and Ivan (with Thomas Boivin, not attending) will present their studies in two posters, on regeneration dynamics in tree hybrids, and on the modelling of resilience at the genetic level.

In addition, Josep Morando-Milà, undergraduate student from the University of Barcelona, who has spend two stays with BioPopEvol during the last two years, under I. Scotti's supervision, and has very tight ties with us, will also attend and give an oral presentation on genomic offset in beech in Catalonia! This is great news for the team!
